Watch Keeper Duties
- 08:00Flag up. Lights off. Unlock doors. Mooring checks & full rounds completed. Check tank levels.
- 12:00 & 17:00Mooring checks and full rounds completed. Check tank levels.
- 18:00Square away dinner, dishwasher & sink, re-stock fridge, clean coffee machine, garbage, vacuum & mop, tidy crew mess. Check tank levels.
- SunsetMooring checks. Flag down. Lights on. Lock all doors (not galley door).
- 21:00Last rounds. Lock galley door. Check tank levels.
Captain's Standing Orders
- Mooring checks: pasarella height, all fenders and mooring lines.
- Lock all doors including Lazaretto and fiddly doors during sunset rounds. The door between the lazaretto and engine room closed.
- Check tank levels: Black >50%, grey >70% and water <50%. Notify the captain or engineer before switching any pumps on or off.
- All alarms to be reported to the engineer.
- Any fire hazards, mooring, safety or security concerns to be reported to the captain and/or engineer.
- Interior lights: Galley spots, bridge and main deck staircase spots. Exterior lights: Main Deck spots ceiling, gangway. Bridge Deck Spots FWD, Spots AFT. Do not use any LED lighting.
- Watch keepers must be present and on fender duty if any adjacent vessels arrive or depart.
- The watertight door between the engine room and lazaretto.
